TOEFL® scores now accepted for skilled migration and other visas in Australia
The TOEFL® Test has been accepted as an English-language test for use with Australia’s skilled migration visas. This means that people across the globe can now use their TOEFL scores for student, post-study, skilled migration and business visas, as well as academic admissions purposes.
The changes will go into effect in November 2014. Applicants can take the test now, in advance of the November change, as TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the test date.

ETS Recognized as English Language Test Provider for Skilled Migration Visas
Princeton, NJ (May 23, 2014) —
The TOEFL® test, created by Educational Testing Service (ETS), has been accepted as an English-language test for use with Australia's skilled migration visas.
As the TOEFL test is already recognized as an English test for student visas in Australia, this announcement means that Australia is open for business as people across the globe can now use their TOEFL scores for student, post-study work, skilled migration and business visas, as well as academic admissions purposes.
TheTOEFL test will be accepted for all visas in the graduate, skilled, business, work and holiday categories. The test will also be accepted for use with the SkillSelect system.

Students will be able to use theTOEFL test to progress to graduate and post-study visas. Australian businesses will now have access to a greater pool of potential employees whose English has been tested against an established global standard.
Almost every tertiary education provider in Australia already accepts TOEFL scores for admissions purposes. The TOEFL test is the most widely accepted academic English-language assessment, with more than 27 million people having taken the test worldwide.
